Taiwan no nation says Taiwan government

Taiwan is basically a zone inhabited by funny, nervous people who are not sure if they are Chinese, Taiwanese or maybe something else. Now there was a meeting of "Taiwan's president" (though such title is officially non-existent) and a US representative after which "Taiwan's president" was quoted talking about China and Taiwan as "two nations" on each side of the Taiwan strait.

Taiwan: Green (with white) stands for keeping independence from China ... or for chip maker AMD.

The official web page of the president's office (well, I wonder if this is really an official web site or rather "a web page someone who could be called the president just happens to have") however "corrected" these designations into "regions". Meaning China['s Mainland] and Taiwan are Chinese regions. This is the preferred language of the "president", as he was born in China, is China-friendly and currently is busy with discussing to assimilate Taiwan into China with the Chinese president. The "People's" Republic of China claims Taiwan as it's territory, even though it never ruled about the island.
People, this is not a blog. This is a collection of words and images and you are no reader, just a cell cluster I guess. My car is no car, my toothbrush is no toothbrush... Let's all bow to the wisdom of the "president". If he is one.

[However, THIS is a bedding fair in Taiwan]

Taiwan being steered towards China, next step (judical system)

The China-friendly KMT party, which rules Taiwan since 2008, is taking another step in changing Taiwan's (formerly rather Western style democratic) system to make it more China-compatible. New laws in Taiwan will put defense attorneys in a dangerous position. As in China as well, Taiwanese attorneys are will be "with one foot already in jail" if the new proposals for adjustments to the criminal code of Taiwan will become law. See here: http://www.usasialaw.org/?p=2630
One example: if a defendant claims his pre-trial testimonial would have been coerced by the police and the court subsequently rejects it, then his attorney(!) can see jail time for "obstruction of justice". And there are many more opportunities to charge the attorney with obstruction of justice. Guilty as charged will be the new rule of thumb in Taiwan soon.

Local Elections in Taiwan: pro-Chinese could defend their position

English: Good news for Beijing, the ruling pro-Chinese KMT-Party could basically defend their position in the local elections, even if the (pro-independence*) opposition DPP made some gains. The pro-DPP Taipei Times makes the gains of the DPP look bigger though (LINK). Obviously the DPP still has not recovered from the mega-corruption scandal of its last president Chen. The way to reunion with China is paved with votes.

*Note: Taiwan is already an independent democratic Nation.

Funny note: in one village, all three candidates were from the KMT, there were no other candidates there, and all three are in jail for vote-buying. Could be from a Star Trek Ferengi episode.... http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/front/archives/2009/12/08/2003460442

Taiwan, well done (as in "steak served")

German below, Deutsch unten:!

English:
Taiwan is done. A new book by a renowned law professor (who escaped from China to Australia) has revealed China's strategy to control Taiwan in 2012. Why 2012? Because China's president Hu will step down in that year, Taiwan has presidential elections and ... well I guess 2012 sounds good for such a thing anyway with all that end of the world mumbo jumbo going on. However, it is no rocket science to conclude China wants to control Taiwan before the election of 2012. Because if the China-friendly president of Taiwan (Ma, KMT) does not get re-elected, Taiwan would have a pro-independence president again (from the DPP) and thus escape China's grasp.

what can we do? hihi

My blog here once predicted Taiwan would be basically linked to China by contracts and/or established procedures in 2012 which would make the 2012 election rather a local governor election. I fear I am right. I'll dig out the link to my old article eventually.

Ah yes, the author of the book says, the American secret service helped to gather proof for the money laundering of Taiwan's former (pro-independence, DPP) president Chen who is now in jail and whose scandal made the election of the now pro-Chinese president Ma (KMT) possible. Remember, the US needs China now (anti-Terror war, owing money to China).

Liebel lot als tot, hihi, das kennt doch auch ihl Doitsen!

And China has infiltrated the KMT to make the swing towards China-friendliness of 2008 possible, the author indicates.

Horse and Tiger exchanging messages

The People's Republic of China's president Hu (can be translated to "tiger" in English) and Taiwan's president Ma (actually Taiwan is formally called "Republic of China" and Ma's name means "horse" in English) are exchanging messages. That does not seem to be big news as Taiwan and China have practically started their reunion talks (Taiwan and the mainland have separated when Taiwan became a Japanese colony in 1895 and one more time, when the mainland of China became a communist state in 1949 and the former Chinese government was fleeing to Taiwan).

OK, OK I start to admit it, Taiwan looks quite much like China...

However in the past communication between the Chinese and the Taiwan president was deemed to be impossible, as China does not recognize Taiwan's statehood and, of course, without being a state it cannot have a president. Thus Chinese officials totally refused to talk to the president or government of Taiwan, which has only changed recently: the last envoy who sealed the pact for an economic union between China and Taiwan did meet the president of Taiwan, but only called out "hello" to him, avoiding any recognition of a title. Well, Mr. Hello went along with this compromise and bowed his head to his new Chinese superiors who most likely offered a title to him for the near future: governor of the province Taiwan or whatever.

Finally theyfound the trick to let the Taiwan president talk to the Chinese president without recognizing the presidentship of Mr. Ma from Taiwan: Mr. Ma recently became chairman of his party, Taiwan's KMT and so chairman Hu from China could send a message to chairman Ma from Chinese province Taiwan congratulating him on his election (LINK). A personal meeting between the mainland tiger and the Taiwan horse is planned.

In the end, Taiwan will most likely get some kind of HongKong status and cease to exist as one of Asia's three functioning democracies (Japan and South Korea being the other two). Sometimes Ma's reunion course is so fast, it seems as if not even HongKong autonomy will be the outcome of the reunion process. Well, let's wait and see and prepare the Chinese flags...

World games in Taiwan. Wait a minute, what games?

Taiwan-China reunion: Hit me, hit me, but I still love you

Now I never heard of that before, but some event called "World games" has started last night in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. As it seems, none of the athletes from the guest countries have arrived yet and so Taiwan has replaced all the sports teams with young Taiwanese women for the opening ceremony. Well, that's fine with me; better to look at hairy legs for sure.

However, one incident shows how foolish Taiwanese/Chinese relations truly are. Taiwan has a very pro-Chinese president at the moment who is even in the middle of reunion talks with China. The strange thing is, as soon as the president of Taiwan (I know, his formal title is "President of the Republic of China" as Taiwan actually is called "Republic of China" by its formal name) announced to take part in the opening ceremony, the athletes from China were withdrawing immediately. Why? Don't they love our pro-Chinese president who want to hand over the country of Taiwan to them?

The answer is, China does not want to acknowledge his authority as "President" as they claim Taiwan cannot have a president as it would be no sovereign country (because China claims Taiwan as their territory).

Now, this must be a great job the president has. Licking China's boots but still getting kicked in the face. Guess he can save the money for the local dominatrix...

China slowly sneaking in...

ENGLISH: (German below, Deutsch unten!)

Let's hope this is just a story made up by the (non-China-friendly) opposition: LINK

The story from the Taipei times asserts, the Taiwan government would prepare to have mainland China policemen (so, police officers from the People's Republic of China) being stationed in Taiwan.'

The Orks are coming! (photo from company server, but not so cute this time)

Oh, great times ahead. Our pro-Chinese president Ma already made an economic union with China and next step will be "political talks". Well, I really hope this isn't true, I really really would not want to live in a country where I have to deal with Mainland China police.

And I have an allergy. You know, once they put these electrodes on me I get a skin irritation and tingle there.

That song starts playing in my head again "Hit the road, Jack...."
With the People's Police and the People's liberation army (I guess that might be next) coming, I guess it's time for a farewell party for our little Taiwan democracy.

Was fun with you. Will miss you. Sort of.

[Right now this might be a scare of the opposition and not true. But I guess it will only be a couple of years to become reality]

Scheinbar plant die chinafreundliche Regierung Taiwans, chinesische Polizisten in Taiwan zu stationieren, sicher der Anfang vom Ende der Demokratie. President handed over the country, and now even the Pandas are fake!

Taipei. In exchange for a post as political adviser for the next governor of the Chinese province Chinese-Taipei (Taiwan), former president Ma (called "Horse" in English) had shown a big white grin and then handed over the country of Taiwan, formerly called Republic of China by its official name, to the "People's" Republic of China on the Mainland.
In return, the people of Taiwan got... well.... besides a picture of a horse for "president" Ma just a ... well... two panda bears, whose combined Chinese names translate to "reunion" in English.

And it has turned out even the pandas, now living happily in Taipei's zoo, are fake, colored brown bears. My god, those mainland thugs really got to us this time.

See the article of Taipei Times HERE (Link).

Of course Ma will take action. The Taipei Times will be renamed into Chinese-Taipei Times.
Rightfully so.
