Well, almost without words. With my previous chemical SLR cameras I would have taken a tripod and then set the Automatik to +0.5 and +1.0 to correct the exposure and then have pics which would be a little sharper. However not all photos could have had good results with the old tech like that.
Last night I did not bring the digital SLR or the tripod, so I took my old Sony digital compact camera and shot from free hand. After eating heavy somewhat US-like food I was calm and tired enough to shoot free-hand with moderate or good results. However having the thing on Auto led to rather dark pics (there is an exposure correction button somewhere, but you need to flip through several menus to find it), but the correction software of the camera maker improved both sharpness and exposure/contrast. Good or acceptable photos are not a matter of skill anymore though with this new digital stuff.
