There seems to be a new Taiwan car brand out, the first real one, LUXGEN. Info here (LINK).
The company Yulon has cooperated with Nissan (which cooperates with Renault) and GM in the past and the car is based on the old Espace chassis. Not posting the photo as it says "confidential", probably to make it more interesting.
We had the "Formosa" car brand before, but those were just re-branded Daewoo cars from GM.

Nightvision cameras on the mirrors - sounds cool. This thing seems far too big for Taiwan though - parking is already a major problem. I wish they'd build something like this instead: http://www.carsonpaper.nl/smart01.jpg Small and really fun to drive.
Of course what Taiwan really needs are clean, quiet scooters. Maybe electrically-charged ones - with the energy produced by offshore windfarms (come-on if Taiwan has anything in abundance, it has to be wind...).
Well, I can dream. :-)
Taiwanese love these big cars which hardly can turn round the narrow corners. Electrical scooters? Pah! Got to be smoking and make noise...
Honestly, if they cut off a car they need to warn them with vrooooooooooom...
but u know that anyway :-)
