Now, to spend 100 US Dollars for a haircut may be common in NYC, but I am talking Taiwan and Taiwan Dollars here. So that's about 2.50 Euro. Note the period after the first figure. It was a medical emergency today and we were driving past a little house when on one of our dog rescue missions and there was the colored spiral sign which hairdressers have here in Taiwan. And it's good! Better than most I had in Germany.
In Germany we say "Einen schönen Menschen kann nichts entstellen", which translates to something like "a beautiful being cannot be spoiled by anything". Which is why I was worried originally.
If you go to a normal hairdresser you have a bunch of young ladies massaging (I am talking about shoulders and hair here! Not what you longnoses think...), but who needs that always... And it would cost 1000NT there or so.
